The Law of Vibration: Your Energy is Speaking (Even When You’re Not)

law of vibration

Everything has a unique vibration or frequency

Everything has a vibration.
Every thought. Every feeling. Every chair, tree, subway car, breakup text, and moment of inspiration. It’s all energy —and all energy vibrates.

That may sound a little out-there at first, but science backs it up.

Solids vibrate at a lower frequency than liquids. Gasses are even higher.
The colours we see everyday? Just different frequencies of visible light. (That fiery red you love? It has the lowest vibration. Soothing violet? It has the highest vibration.)

But vibration isn’t just a physics thing—it’s a you thing. Your emotions, your thoughts, even your beliefs carry a frequency. And you’re broadcasting it all the time. Love, joy, and gratitude vibrate at a higher frequency than grief, despair, and anger.

We know this has been proven by science in the physical world: solids have a lower frequency than liquids and gasses.

What we perceive as colour is just different frequencies of light (red has lowest frequency; violet highest).  This concept also applies to thoughts and feelings.

Good vibes only

Ever heard someone say “I get a weird vibe from that guy” or “I have such good vibes about this”? That’s the Law of Vibration at work.

We can intuitively sense the vibes of other people and situations. Traditionally, we’re not taught to use our intuition but if we listen carefully, there is a lot of knowledge already within us. The trick is to learn how to tap into that intuition.

So, what vibration are you actually sending out?

You’ve probably felt this before without even realizing it.

  • That person who makes you feel safe the moment you meet them? High vibe.
  • That friend you leave dinner with feeling oddly drained? Low vibe.
  • That room you walk into and immediately feel tense? Vibe.

We’re vibrational beings, which means we’re constantly tuning in to frequencies around us. The problem is, we’re not always taught to trust that internal tuning fork.

If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency, and vibration.

Nikola Tesla

Ever notice how “bad vibes” aren’t always tied to someone doing something wrong? It’s just… a feeling. That’s your nervous system picking up on energetic cues. The Law of Vibration says we’re always influencing—and being influenced—by these subtle frequencies.

So if you’re wondering where you’re vibrating in any given moment, ask yourself:

  • What am I thinking right now?
  • How do I feel in my body?
  • What kind of energy am I bringing into this space?

Low Vibe vs. High Vibe Energy (It’s Not About Being Happy All the Time)

This isn’t about suppressing emotions or pretending everything’s great when it isn’t. That’s not high vibe—that’s avoidance.

Low vibration emotions aren’t “bad.” They’re just heavy. Dense.
They feel sticky and stagnant. Think shame, guilt, resentment, jealousy, despair. These emotions slow our energy and often leave us feeling isolated or irritable.

High vibration emotions? They feel expansive. Energizing.
Gratitude. Joy. Compassion. Peace. These emotions lift us—not just mentally but physically, too. When you’re vibing high, your shoulders relax, your mind feels clearer, and suddenly strangers are holding doors for you like it’s a rom-com.

Life example time:

  • Low Vibe: You’re already late. Someone cuts you off in traffic. You snap. Curse. Your energy spikes with frustration, and now your whole day feels off.
  • High Vibe Option: You pause. Take a breath. Remind yourself they might be having a rough day too. You choose not to carry that energy forward. You feel… lighter.

That moment of choice? That’s vibration in motion.

Energy Is Contagious—So What Are You Spreading?

our vibration doesn’t just affect you—it impacts everyone around you. Whether you mean to or not, you’re influencing the emotional tone of your environment.

When you:

  • Send a kind text without expecting a reply
  • Take three breaths before speaking in a tense conversation
  • Genuinely listen when someone opens up
  • —you raise the frequency in the room.

—you raise the frequency in the room.

And the beautiful thing about energy? It responds. Life tends to meet you where you are.

That’s why when you’re vibing high, you’ll notice:

  • More ease
  • More synchronicity
  • More aligned conversations, choices, and chances

It’s not magic. It’s resonance.
